The Simplified Budget, like the Citizen’s Budget, is a simplified presentation format for budget information. There are no clear boundaries and criteria for defining and distinguishing these two documents.
It should be noted, as the name suggests, the Citizen’s Budget is a document generally initiated by the state bodies and maintained by them, in order to present the implemented budget policies and programs to the citizen in a simple and accessible manner.
Simplified budget documents are mainly developed by the research community, having the aim to provide the public at large with simplified information about budget processes, policies and developments. Depending on the objectives of processing, these documents may contain both aggregated budget information and refer to spending policies in specific areas, presentation of specific programs, interpretation of budget information of individual state bodies, and individual communities, etc.
The state budget for 2024 is planned for revenues of 2.676 billion AMD, for expenses – 3.017 billion AMD, and for the deficit – 341 billion AMD. Compared with the planned indicators for 2023, revenues increased by 16.2 percent, and expenses by 16.5 percent.
