On 27 October, the Standing Committees of the National Assembly began the discussions of the Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2026”. The discussions will last until 5 November inclusive.

The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia presented the Draft State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2026, the changes made to the medium-term expenditure framework, and sectoral allocations.

It is planned to allocate AMD 356.4 bln to the Education Sector in 2026, which will exceed the expenditures set in the 2025 state budget by 21.1%. Expenditures for Education sector will amount to 3% of GDP.
