On 17 October, the “Budgets for Citizens” project team hosted Ms Virginie Morillon, representative of “ADE SA”, a company that carries out the evaluation of EU assistance on behalf of the European Commission, and Mr. Armen Melkumyan, representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia.

The meeting was aimed to discuss the objectives, work accomplished, and results recorded within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” project, as an important participant in the public finance management reforms implemented in the Republic of Armenia with the EU support.

The program team explained how the initiatives of the project contribute to increasing the citizens’ awareness and participation in budget processes.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed possible directions for improving participatory budgeting in EU-Armenia cooperation and shared their experiences.

At the end of the meeting, the guests highly appreciated the work carried out within the framework of the project, emphasizing its positive impact on enhancing the transparency of public finances and the citizens’ participation.
