Budget of the “Preschool Education” Programme

The “Preschool Education” Programme has been launched in 2024, to which AMD 2.8 bln is planned to be allocated in 2024. The programme is based on the measures for organization of the preschool education, which are separated from the “General Education Program”.

This programme is aimed at providing accessible and quality preschool education. The outcome of this programme is that all children will have equal access to quality early childhood education and development services.

The largest share of the programme budget, 67 %, will be directed to provide preschool education (PSE) for the children aged 1.5-5 from certain social groups.

Including providing PSE for 360 children with special educational and developmental needs; 3,385 children of the families with vulnerability score above the threshold of 28 vulnerability points; and 1,787 children of servicemen.

The number of 5-6 year old children that are beneficiaries of the preparation for primary school at the preschool education level is 7,585.
