Education is an important component of the development of every country. The RA Government continuously emphasizes its priority by consistently increasing allocations for the education sector year after year. Measures aimed at strengthening the education system include improving infrastructure, enhancing curricula, and promoting the professional development of the teachers. This process takes into account various factors, from improving the quality of education to ensuring accessibility in order to meet the international standards.
In recent years, a trend of increasing allocations for the education sector has been observed in Vanadzor Community as well, with the exception of 2022, when there was recorded a decrease compared to the previous year. The Budget expenditures for 2024 of Vanadzor Community on education (AMD 3067449400) constitute 44.98% of the total budget expenditures (AMD 6819103400).
It is planned to allocate AMD 30,674,494,000 from the Vanadzor community budget to the education sector in 2024,, which is an impressive increase compared to the previous year. AMD 1437396800 were actually allocated in 2023. Thus, the planned funding for 2024 exceeds the actual funding of the previous year by about 113.4%, which indicates the attention of the Community to the development of educational programs and infrastructure.
The administrative share of the education budget of Vanadzor Community for 2024 amounted to AMD 1482790400, and the fund part amounted to AMD 1584659000.
