The Government plans to allocate AMD 255.9 bln from the 2026 state budget to economic relations, which amounts to 7.1% of the planned expenditures of the state budget.
53.2% of these expenditures, or AMD 136.1 bln, is planned to direct to the construction, major renovation, and maintenance of roads.
The second largest area of spending aimed at economic development is state support for the agricultural sector.
In total, AMD 40.0 bln are planned to allocate to agriculture, and an additional AMD 23.3 bln will be allocated to improving the infrastructure of water management, including the construction and renovation of reservoirs and irrigation systems.
It is expected that spending in this area will increase by 11.3% compared to the previous year, and by more than 1.5 times compared to 2022.
