AMD 357.7 bln, or about 9.9% of the state budget expenditures, will be allocated to the education sector in 2026.
39.1% of education expenditures, or about AMD 139.7 bln, will be allocated to providing free general education, AMD 146.7 bln – to the construction and renovation of general education schools, educational complexes, kindergartens, and provision with property, and AMD 13.1 bln to reimburse the tuition fees of students.
The Armenian Government plans to increase spending on education by 19.3% or AMD 58.0 bln in 2026 compared to 2025.
The Government has consistently increased funding for the sector in recent years,. For example, about 2.1 times more will be allocated to the education sector in 2026, than in 2022.
