Education is a fundamental human right and the state is obliged to ensure universally accessible, inclusive and quality education. This sector is one of the priority areas of the Government.
According to the Law on the State Budget for 2025, AMD 324.9 bln will be allocated to the programmes of Education Sector, which has increased by 2.6%, or AMD 8.1 bln compared to the previous year,
15 budget programmes will be implemented in the Education Sector in 2025.
The “General Education” Programme has the large share among the educational programs, to which AMD 132.7 bln, or 41% of the budget for education programmes will be allocated. “Creation, Construction, Improvement of Public Educational and Preschool Institutions” Programme with the share of AMD 84.4 bln or 26 % is the second. Next comes the “Scientific and Scientific-Technical” Programme with the share of AMD 33.9 %. It is followed by the “Ensuring Quality Education” Programme to which ՝ 4.9 % or AMD 15.7 bln has been allocated.
“A new programme – “Creation of the Academic City” to which AMD 2.1 bln is allocated, will be implemented in 2025”.
