Social protection continues to be one of the priority areas of the RA State Policy.

The 2026 state budget plans to allocate more than AMD 993.0 bln to social protection, which constitutes 27.4% of the planned expenditures of the state budget.

59.5% of the expenditures, or AMD 590.8 bln, are planned to be directed to the pension security of the population, AMD 140.0 bln to social security, and 8.4% to improving the demographic situation in the country.

It is expected that spending in this direction will increase by 9.6% compared to the previous year, and by about 1.6 times compared to 2022.
