From every 1000 drams spent from the Annual Budget, 157 drams will be allocated for pensions and 54 drams for the social security benefits.

Social protection remains one of the priority directions of the RA state policy. According to the Annual Budget 2024, more than AMD 794 bln are planned to be allocated to social protection, which is 24.8% of the planned expenditures of the Annual Budget. 62.2% of the expenditures or AMD 494 bln are planned to be allocated to provision of pension security of the population, AMD 113 bln to the social security, and 8.7% to the improvement of the demographic situation in the country.

It is expected that the expenditures in this direction will increase compared to previous year, and almost twice compared to 2018.
