An information meeting within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” program for the representatives of CSO and Media organization who had participated in the first and second streams of the budget training was held on 13 February. The meeting was aimed at presenting the details of the second phase of the sub-grant competition announced for the implementation in target areas, the requirements and procedures for preparing the applications.
Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan, the representative of the Armenian Lawyers Association, welcomed the participants and expressed her gratitude for their interest and active participation. She presented the main goals and objectives of advocacy, the priorities that should be emphasized in the programs, as well as the issues that can be solved within the framework of sub-grant initiatives.
Further, Ms Soghomonyan discussed in detail the possible actions, the importance of participating in public discussions with state bodies, and the need to develop proposals for improving policies. Information on deadlines and procedural requirements for submitting the applications were presented as well.
Representative of the program Mr. Artak Saribekyan, addressed the specifics of preparation of the budget for sub-grant programs. He referred to the requirements for the correct and substantiated preparation of the budget.
A question and answer session was held at the end of the meeting, where the project representatives provided comprehensive and detailed explanations to the questions raised by the participants.
