On December 8, the 3rd meeting of the Steering Committee of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project took place. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, as well as representatives of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, the Caucasus Research Resource Center–Armenia, the “NGO Center” NGO, the Economic Development and Research Center, “Agora Central Europe” NGO, and members of the Project’s executive and expert teams.
During the meeting, the activities carried out and the results achieved during the 3rd year of the Project were presented. The overall objectives and target areas of the Project were discussed, along with the operation of the budgets.am electronic platform. Detailed information was provided on the two phases of budget training programs conducted for young professionals and CSO/Media representatives, as well as their effective outcomes. The indicators outlined in the Project’s Logical Framework were also presented.
In the second part of the meeting, the communication, visibility, and awareness-raising components were discussed. In this context, emphasis was placed on enhancing the Project’s visibility and applying effective communication mechanisms.
In the concluding part, the planned activities for Year 4 of the Project were presented, with advocacy campaigns highlighted as the key focus for the upcoming year. The upcoming seminars aimed at presenting the results of budget monitoring and advocacy conducted by CSOs were also introduced, along with the implementation of final evaluations for the target CSOs.
The participants highly appreciated the progress and achievements of the Project, emphasizing the importance of continuity and systematic implementation of the undertaken activities.
