2025-02-28 12:02

In the second stream of the ongoing face-to-face (offline) training phases of training courses of the Budget Training Program for young professionals and CSOs/Media Organizations, which was launched on 25 February within the framework of the “Budgets4Citizens” program, the participants this time delved deeper into the field of public budget analysis. Expert on the budget component of the program Ms Lilit Hakobyan, representative of the “Center for Economic Development and Research” NGO, provided the young professionals and representatives of CSOs/media organizations with comprehensive knowledge combined with practical tasks.
The course included methods for analyzing functional, departmental, and economic budget expenditures. The group work was an important component of the training, where participants analyzed examples of real budgets and revealed the actual background hidden behind the numbers.
The growth of participants’ knowledge was measured through pre- and post-evaluation tests, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the course.
It is noteworthy that the courses were conducted in a hybrid format, which allowed representatives from remote regions to participate and contribute to improving the sector as well.
The training program continues its work with new courses aimed at developing professional skills in the budgetary sector.
The “Budgets 4 Citizens” (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 – 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, in cooperation with partners “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
