Major Programmes of the Justice Sector Budget for 2025

AMD 75.2 bln will be allocated for the implementation of Justice Sector programmes in 2025, which is a decrease of AMD 0.21 bln or 0.3% compared to the previous year.

The state policy of Justice Sector in 2025 will be implemented through 16 budget programmes. The Ministry of Justice coordinates 7 of these programmes. The Prosecutor’s Office coordinates 3 programmes, and the remaining  Constitutional independent and autonomous bodies (the RA Constitutional Court, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Anti-Corruption Committee, the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the Human Rights Defender’s Staff, and the Investigative Committee) will implement one programme each..

In the next positions in terms of allocations, after the Ministry of Justice, are the Investigative Committee, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the Prosecutor’s Office with the share of 25.2%, 22.8%, and 13.2% of expenditures in the sector, respectively. Allocations to the Anti-Corruption Committee constitute 4.6 % of the total budget expenditures in the sector. Allocations to the Constitutional Court are 1.2 %, the Human Rights Defender’s Office – 0.8 %, and the RA Prosecutor’s Office – 0.5 % of the total budget expenditures.

The largest program implemented in the Justice Sector is the “Investigative Services” programme of the RA RA Investigative Committee to which AMD 18.9 bln, or 25.2% of the entire sectoral budget is allocated. The planned expenditures for this programme will increase by 8.7% compared to the previous year.

The “Providing and Implementation the Activities of Judiciary” programme of the Supreme Judicial Council and the “Procedural Management and Prosecutorial Supervision” programme of the RA Prosecutor’s Office are the second and the third with allocations of AMD 17.2 bln and AMD 9.3 bln, or 22.8 % and 12.4 % of the entire sectoral expenditures respectively.
