The first online discussion in the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project on the budget component of the online training stage of the second stream of budget training aimed at sharing the knowledge to young specialist was held on 11 February. The component included training on the topics related to the structure and processes of public budget, methods of budget analysis, budget monitoring tools, program budgeting fundamentals, as well as budget transparency and accountability.
Ms Karine Harutyunyan Executive Director of EDRC and Ms Lilit Hakobyan representative of the same structure attended the discussion.
The main objective of the discussion was to clarify questions and comments from young specialists regarding the budget component of the online learning stage, as well as to discuss the further course of the curriculum.
During the discussion, the participants raised a number of issues on individual topics of the budget component, as well as organizational and technical issues on the training program, its further progress and results. The project experts provided comprehensive answers to all the issues raised. In addition, the successful experience of the first stream of budget training aimed at sharing the knowledge to young specialists, were presented to the participants as wells.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted that they would continue the educational process with even greater interest.
The “Budgets 4 Citizens” (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 – 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, in cooperation with partners “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
