On June 21, the next sessions of the face-to-face training phase for young professionals and CSO/Media representatives were held within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” program. The topic of the training was Public Budget Analysis. The training was conducted by the program’s budget component expert, Lilit Hakobyan, representative of the Center for Economic Development and Research.

During the training, issues related to budget expenditure analysis were discussed, particularly focusing on functional, departmental, and economic expenditure analysis. Subsequently, young professionals and CSO/Media representatives completed practical and group assignments on expenditure analysis under the trainer’s guidance and assistance. To evaluate the participants’ knowledge growth and training effectiveness, participants completed pre and post-knowledge assessment tests.

It should be noted that the training sessions are conducted in a hybrid format – both in-person and remote – aiming to give young professionals and CSO/Media representatives from distant regions the opportunity to participate in the training and contribute to the improvement of the sector.

We remind you that the “Budgets for Citizens” program (December 08, 2022 – December 07, 2026) is implemented with funding from the European Union, in partnership with “Armenian Lawyers Association” NGO, “Economic Development and Research Center” NGO, and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
