On 23 May, a discussion in online format with Mr. Vojtěch Černý, representative of “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic), a member organization of the “Budgets for Citizens” project consortium, and expert Ms Jana Stehnová was held.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vojtěch Černý welcomed the training participants and expressed hope that the topics of the training are interesting and accessible. After that he presented the activities of “Agora Central Europe” NGO and the important role of the organization in the field of participatory budgeting.
Further, the young people asked their questions to the expert Jana Stehnová, which the expert addressed in detail.
The expert shared the results of the Czech Republic in the field of participatory budgeting, the difficult path to achieving these results, as well as the mechanisms and tools used during that period.
At the end of the meeting, the expert addressed the young people with a concluding motivational speech, urging them to be able to unite society with small steps, gather like-minded people and only after that they will be able to achieve the desired result in the field of participatory budgeting.
The “Budgets 4 Citizens” (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 – 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, in cooperation with partners “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
